So I don’t ‘celebrate Lent.’ I’m not religious.

HOWEVER!

I need to give up processed sugar. Like holy shit I do. Clearly I missed day one of this thing. But maybe I can try for the same period of time that people are celebrating Lent. Here are good reasons to do it:

- Sugar destroys your teeth.

- Sugar destroys your ability to metabolize things efficiently. 

- Sugar is not usually processed very ethically. 

- Sugar is so highly processed that it’s stupid. 

- Sugar is kind of addictive. They’ve proven it. WITH SCIENCE

- Other foods are better for me anyway.

- There is sugar in fruit. Legit. 

Yep. Okay. Let’s see. I’ve tried this oodles of times. But those times I also gave up stuff like bread and milk and fruit. I also know a girl who is a living example of how this impacts your body - she is fit as a fiddle. She and her boyfriend don’t eat processed sugar/dessert foods at all. They haven’t for over two years. If they can do it, I can do it.
